David Gluck
Multi-Instrumentalist, Songwriter, Composer, Session Musician, Producer, Educator, Recording and mixing engineer
David has a long career working as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Working primarily as both a bassist and guitarist, David has recorded and toured with award-winning Toronto songwriter, Shawn William Clarke. In addition, he has worked in multiple genres including electronic (Kip LaVie, Portland, OR), Jazz alongside such notable artists as Max Tucker and Peter Lutek (NYC, Portland, Toronto), and world music ventures. David won both the Clive Davis music award and the Martin Scorsese award for original music in film. The awards were presented for his work on the short film Antes De Partida by director Thiago Da Costa (Figura Media). Aside from his work on numerous recordings, David has released many albums of his own - two full of songs, three insttrumental records, and one duo record for imagined soundtracks (Will Moor) with Shawn W. Clarke. David currently works and teaches in Rochester, NY.
